I’m an interior designer & rated Kourtney Kardashian’s home with Travis Barker – I absolutely detested certain details

AN INTERIOR designer has rated Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker’s home a solid 6/10 and detested certain design details.

The design artist shared a striking review of the celeb couple’s home and was left disappointed with the supposed lack of character in the dwelling.

Self-described “Design Daddy”, Phoenix Gray is renowned on TikTok for his home decor tips, design trend advice, and celebrity home review videos.

In one video, Gray analyzes details in the shared living space of celebrity couple Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian.

Known on TikTok as mrphoenixgrey, the home reviewer delves deep into the analytics, color, and spacing of key features of the celebrity home.

The newlyweds gave a sneak peek of their home in an issue of Architectural Digest and design experts are avidly offering their two cents.

Gray starts off the video with a bit of comedic humor as he makes a joke about not judging people with tattoos.

“I honestly didn’t know what I was expecting when I took a look at Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker’s house, but this wasn’t it,” he says.

The visual then switches to a view of the Kardashian couple’s outdoor pool area as Gray gushes about how “the home is such a beautiful, modern, tranquil take on the homes in California” and he would never leave their pool.

The positive review quickly shifts as Gray raises concerns about their kitchen design in the next image shown.

“I do have a bone to pick with the designer for this kitchen though, Gray states. “It looks super spacious. Like, we probably have about fifteen feet for ceiling height here…”

He is incredibly bothered by the fact that there are kitchen cabinets all the way to the ceiling and the long wire poles attached to them, although the feature would be great for storage.

“The reason why I hate these is because this is the average height of your fridge pole,” the designer says as he points to the fridge in the image. “Why are we using the exact same length on all of the cabinets? It’s so ridiculous.”

He then moves on to an image of their dining room and thinks it’s beautiful with “its sculptural, elemental details that bring all those natural concepts in.”

He adds that the style is very on-trend and organic for home decor at this time because the dining room is “clean, precise and to the point.”

The next room shown is the newlywed’s entrance foyer leading to the back of their home and it’s noted for its personable and homey feel.

“And I think it’s beautiful the way they laid it out,” Gray gushes.

If the interior architect offers a stellar review of one design piece, he then flips it on its head with the next perplexing, albeit beautiful aspect of the home.

“I love their outdoor barbeque area, but they’re in California. Why do you need this farm-styled fireplace in the evening? It doesn’t get the cold,” he attests.

The one part of the house that Gray thought was a little odd was the number of living rooms available in the home.

“What I really don’t like is how they’ve contrasted these very traditional styled couches with the rest of the room which is very clean and modern,” he explains as he references one living room in a photo. “And I don’t like them together like this.”

He then adds in another photo of a separate living room that he does enjoy saying how he loves that the room has a ping pong table because it seems great for their family.

He also likes the denim fabric draped on the furniture because it brings in a “structured, masculine look but still remains extremely casual.”

Gray also says the bedroom is cute with its nice sitting room accompanied by their bay windows, but overall the room is nothing special.

From a design perspective, he also does not like their bedroom bathroom but did give “plus points for creativity” for the built-in tub wrapped in stone.

“But a stand-alone tub and the actual design of it could have made way more of an impact,” he claims.

As the video comes to a close, Gray adds a few positive anecdotes.

“Remember not to judge a book by its cover because people with tattoos like this, that look extremely hardcore, clearly are the coolest, zen-vibe people that you’ll ever encounter,” he concludes.
