Dream Home: A Pine Ridge Estates Compound Made for Growing Families

by HomeDecorBeauty

Green has a place in home design. Whether it’s a wild tropical backyard or modern interiors with shades of sage, moss and hunter, the allure of bringing nature into the home continues. Here, architect Richard Guzman of RG Designs has teamed up with Freestyle Interiors to create a 6,805-square-foot family estate built by McGarvey Custom Homes that breathes new life into earthy tones, and its design is perfect for large families or even larger house party.

This single level home is spread over a large parcel of land in Pine Ridge Estates with over 2 acres of green space. In this neighborhood, listing agent Chris Rethorpe said: “You have elbow room; you can build a bigger house and keep it on one level.” The design team is based on the land, subtly A nearly 2,000-square-foot pool and outdoor conversation pit is positioned between the main residence and the 1,107-square-foot guesthouse—connected to the roof of the main residence by an outdoor walkway with glass paneling. Shrubs surround the perimeter for added privacy, and the entire water feature adds to the open-air ambience. “When you first go through those double iron doors and look through the large windows of the room, you have a very beautiful water view that grabs your attention as soon as you enter,” Resop, head of The Agency in Naples said. His wife Carla.

Combining sky-high windows with thick black frames, Guzman and McGarvey use the landscape as a Art of Living installation. The six-bedroom, seven-and-a-half bathroom home features a classic black and white palette, with white quartz countertops and black cabinets on a twin waterfall island in the kitchen, and a marble-look walk-in shower in the master bath. On the windowless walls, Freestyle designers Faith Fix and Arlynn McDaniel rely on textured accents and contemporary art in verdant tones to bring greenery indoors.

Accents and shades of green in the fabric bring a seamless flow to the home’s entertaining space. A bar with custom black floating shelves serves wine and spirits to the home bartender (or staff hired for the event), while a nearby dining table features eight pastel teal chairs. The whole family can gather around the double island in the kitchen to help cook. For a more formal dinner party, eight additional fully upholstered sage green chairs surround a long dark wood table.

Behind the scene is a stunning walk-in wine room connected to the kitchen and butler’s pantry via swinging glass doors. And, of course, parties can easily be done outside, with another waterfall island that seats 4 and a chic 10-person dining table that makes al fresco dinners a breeze in the palm-lined backyard. The home sold for $9.45 million in May.
